Working together to change lives, Destiny Youth Ranch is a non-profit ranch that will provide the service of Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Development to clients participating in one-on-one sessions with one mentor and a horse partner for oncology patients. We provide horseback riding for clients aged 7 years of age or older. We do have miniature horses at the ranch for children under the age of 7 to groom & paint!

Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Development riding, the partnership of horse, rider, and a mentor, provides benefits that are as diverse as the participants themselves. Professionals familiar with Equine Assisted riding recognize the unique advantages that it offers in all areas; physical, emotional, and mental. From improved balance, muscle control, and flexibility, to increased self-confidence, self esteem, and assertiveness, Equine Assisted riding is an effective and valuable tool.

At Destiny Youth Ranch we believe there is no such thing as false hope and that The Lord uses all creation for His glory. We are blessed that the ranch already possesses what it needs to get started, great horses, a warm waiting place for family, and many people that want to make a difference.

Horsey House Calls  We also provide horsey house calls for those patients that are too ill to attend a one-on-one session in person. We have horses that would love to travel to brighten your child's day!!! This should be a suprise for your child. Please contact us for more information regarding this program! (We generally will travel up to a 60 mile radius of Alvord, Iowa.)
